Yes, I know New Zealand very well, having visited three times, and worked there for 18 months. Rather superb sea stacks at the South island near Picton visible from the ferry.

I suppose that you saw the pancake rocks on the West Coast of the South Island.
Yes - I've been there twice - and loved the nearby seal colony too.
